What is Emotional Intelligence
"Emotional Intelligence is the ability to perceive, control and evaluate emotions."
In simple words Emotional Intelligence is the act of understanding the emotions and use them according to the situation.Some researchers consider that emotional intelligence can be learned and strengthened. While on the other hand some people says that emotional intelligence is a God gift. Which is gifted to some people only. It can not be understand in any school or college. Whatever I consider that it is up to the people they can do what they want.
Many researchers define emotional intelligence accordingly but if we focus on the overall description, then we will find that they all defined it in the same way.
"Emotional Intelligence is the subset of social intelligence that involves the ability to monitor one's own and others emotions and feelings to discriminate among them and to use this information to guide one's thinking and actions."

Four Branches of Emotional Intelligrnce
Emotional Intelligence is divided in to the four steps. These four steps are the sequence of using intelligence according to the situation.
1 Perceiving Emotions:-
For emotional intelligence it is very important to understand the emotions. If we take the wrong sense of emotions it can change the whole plane. So we should be very careful about perceiving emotions
2 Using Emotions:-
In the second step we use the emotion according to the situation.Emotions are used to promote thinking and cognitive activity. Emotions tell that how much serious we are about the main object.
3 Understanding Emotions:-
The emotions which we take or receive from others have a lot-of meanings.So it is very necessary to take their sence in the desired way.
4 Managing Emotions:-
Managing emotions is very important to understand and use of emotional intelligence.It is very effective key to solve the problems and to get the success in the desired field.
Perceiving Emotions + Understanding Emotions + Using Emotions + Managing Emotions = Emotional Intelligence.
Emotional Traits
The specific emotion which you need to develop is that which has a positive impact on what you are trying to achieve. Your emotion should be helpful to you. Emotions should not create problems for you. Some traits of emotions are given here.

It keeps you going during tough experiences and tasks.

I am a bond among you and your team.
4 Empathy
It is the ability to understand other's feelings.

This is the ability to believe in you.

It is the ability to face pain or opposition without fear during the whole process.

Some researchers says that emotional intelligence is god gifted while some other says,'that emotional intelligence can be develop,can be learn and it can be strengthened.

For this listening should be so clear and wise that he or she can hear the words not spoken by paying attention to tonne of voice.
3 Develop ability to keep calm:
It is the ability to handle and control the frustration,anger,sorrow,joy and other emotions.

You should not keep quit. You should speak while required. It will increase your confidence. And also will provide you some experience.
5 Improve response process:
You should try to solve the problem immediately.If someone arise a case then you should effectively interpreting the cause of the emotions.

1 Self Awareness:
Self Awareness it the key fact to communicate with others. Self awareness helps in understanding one's strengths and emotions
2 Self Management:
Self management is mostly required thing here. If you will not manage yourself then you will go with other's emotions and you will destroy yourself. If you will won then some one will gain defect. So you have to think about your goal.
3 Social Awareness:
As we all are the small unit of a social system. So it is our duty to keep our self update about the social issue. At least we should know that,'what's going on in the society.
4 Relationship Management:
Relationship with other defines our way to get success. Sometimes people did not get success because of their bed relations with their boss and coworkers. So relationship management is very necessary.
How To Develop And Improve Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence can be increase by practicing day-to-day. It would be so easy and wonderful that you will be surprised by the result after following the steps given below:-
1 Practice deep and focus listening
You should focus on listening carefully during the communication. You should focus on your mind and should try to ask the questions.
2 Summarise and feedback what you think you heard
You should take your feedback by your listeners after your presentation. It will help you to improve your skills.
3 Ask question to identify emotions and feelings
You should ask question to your leader or your friend. Ask for their good feeling about how thing are progressing.
4 Practice noticing body language
Stop your hurry long enough to recognize when body language is inconsistent with the words spoken. With daily practicing you will get success.
5 Observe your own reactions toward others
You should observe your reaction about the other people. If people will give you good feedback it will help you to get more confidence about emotional intelligence.
6 Notice that other people are liking you or not
During the meeting and other interacting times. You can observe that people are liking your way of talking, your body language and your behaviour.
7 Pay more attention to your own emotions
Analyze how you respond in emotional situations. Seek feedback from others whom you trust to react with some degree of unbiased response.
